About the role#
This internship is a paid, 40-hour per week, hands-on training program designed to prepare you for store leadership. As a Store Executive Intern, you will gain a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role. You will work closely with managers and team members to understand retail operations and how to lead within a store. Your development is a priority, and you will receive ongoing feedback as you take on leadership responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Spend time on the salesfloor and in the backroom leading team members.
- Work alongside an Executive Team Lead mentor to gain insight into store management.
- Partner with leaders to coach team members, provide performance feedback, and address concerns.
- Plan daily goals and organize tasks to support store priorities.
- Review business reports and guest insights to identify and follow up on opportunity areas.
- Lead daily huddles and present priorities to the leadership team.
- Provide guest service by helping shoppers, answering questions, and resolving issues.
- Learn to use store technology and operate equipment like handheld scanners.
- Perform physical tasks including stocking shelves, building displays, and moving merchandise up to 44 pounds.
What you'll need#

- Ability to learn and adapt to technology needs.
- Effective communication skills.
- Previous retail experience is preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to climb ladders and access all areas of the store.
- Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or Human Resources.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- Positions are available in Charlotte, Mooresville, Matthews, and Wesley Chapel, North Carolina.
- The pay range for this role is $24.75 to $25.00 per hour.
