About the role#
This is a paid, full-time, 40-hour per week internship for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in retail leadership by working closely with an Executive Team Lead mentor. The program provides a realistic preview of the Executive Team Leader role and helps you develop the skills necessary to manage a retail store. You will spend your time on the salesfloor, leading team members, and learning how to drive operational and financial performance.
What you'll do#
- Spend time on the store salesfloor and in the backroom leading team members.
- Align the team on daily business priorities and organize plans within the building.
- Partner with leaders to coach team members and provide performance feedback.
- Lead and present at daily huddles with your peer and leadership team.
- Plan daily goals and provide summaries of results to the leadership team.
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by ensuring team members are knowledgeable and helpful.
- Address team member concerns and remove hurdles to ensure smooth operations.
- Work alongside your mentor to gain an understanding of store management.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in working in retail management.
- Leadership skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices.
- Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Capacity to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds.
- Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management.
