About the role#
Sundt is looking for students in engineering or construction management to join our team. This internship provides hands-on experience in the preconstruction phase of our projects. You will work alongside our Preconstruction and Operations teams to help plan and execute construction work.
What you'll do#
- Prepare proposals and presentations for potential clients.
- Analyze subcontractor bids and vendor proposals to verify project requirements.
- Assemble bid packages, ensuring all necessary documents and specifications are included.
- Attend preconstruction meetings to take notes and assist with follow-up tasks.
- Organize and maintain project documents, including plans and addendums.
- Participate in site visits to understand project conditions.
- Support the estimating team by preparing quantity take-offs and developing cost estimates.
- Use modeling software to develop accurate quantities.
- Collaborate with operational leads and estimators to keep preconstruction activities on schedule.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
- Ability to work as a team player, ready to take on new challenges.
- Curiosity and a willingness to ask questions.
- Interest in a long-term career in construction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- Location: Irving, Texas.
- This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship.
- The position follows a rolling schedule.
