About the role#
Sundt Construction is seeking engineering and construction management students for an internship in the Southwest Building Group. This role provides hands-on experience on construction projects and exposure to the day-to-day activities required to build them. You will work alongside our teams to learn the trade and contribute to project success.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project record keeping, shop drawings, and cost control records.
- Support report preparation, safety inspections, and submittal logging.
- Help with surveying, testing, sample collection, and drawing corrections.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and contact vendors for proposals.
- Attend bid openings and meetings to take notes and complete records.
- Assist with inventory control, schedule checking, and subcontractor monitoring.
- Perform duties as a manual laborer, helper, or technician assistant when needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, such as steel-toed shoes, hardhats, and safety glasses.
- Willingness to take on challenges and learn in a hands-on environment.
