About the role#
Sundt Construction is looking for students to join our team as an Estimating Intern. This position offers hands-on experience in the preconstruction phase of our projects. You will work alongside our Preconstruction and Operations teams to support the planning and execution of construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Aid in the preparation of proposals and presentations for potential clients.
- Assist in analyzing subcontractor bids and vendor proposals to ensure they meet project requirements.
- Help organize and maintain project documents including plans, specifications, and addendums.
- Participate in site visits as needed to understand project conditions.
- Use modeling software to develop accurate quantities and support the estimating process.
- Support the team in preparing quantity take-offs and developing cost estimates.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration program.
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- A team-player mindset and a willingness to take on new challenges.
- Immense curiosity and a desire to learn.
- A demonstrated interest in a career within the construction industry.
