About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the preconstruction phase of our projects. You will work alongside our Preconstruction and Operations teams to support the planning and execution of construction projects. This is a full-time, paid position based in Tempe, Arizona.
What you'll do#
- Support the estimating team by preparing quantity take-offs, developing cost estimates, and creating bid packages.
- Assist in analyzing subcontractor bids and vendor proposals to verify they meet project requirements.
- Help organize and maintain project documentation, including plans, specifications, and addendums.
- Aid in the preparation of proposals and presentations for potential clients.
- Use modeling software like Revit or Navisworks to develop accurate quantities.
- Attend and contribute to preconstruction meetings.
- Participate in site visits to understand project conditions.
- Work closely with operational leads and estimators to ensure project activities are completed on time.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- A team-oriented mindset and a willingness to take on new challenges.
- Immense curiosity and a desire to learn.
- A genuine interest in a career as a builder.
