About the role#
Sundt Construction is hiring an Advanced Facilities Engineering Intern. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Arizona. We are looking for students who want to build a career in the construction industry and are ready to learn through hands-on experience on our projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project record keeping, shop drawings, and cost control records.
- Help with report preparation, safety inspections, and submittal processing.
- Support surveying, testing, sample collection, and document filing.
- Track time, inventory, schedules, and monitor subcontractor activities.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and contact vendors or subcontractors for proposals.
- Attend bid openings and conferences, take notes, and complete forms.
- Conduct site tours and observe or report on meeting results.
- Perform duties as a manual laborer, helper, clerk, or technician assistant.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A team-player mindset and a strong curiosity about construction work.
- Willingness to perform physical tasks, including wearing required personal protective equipment such as hardhats, safety glasses, and steel-toed shoes.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work on-site for the duration of a shift.
