About the role#
This co-op position supports the Mechanical Development group at our Farmington Hills facility. You will assist with ongoing development projects and open work within the team. The program is designed to help you prepare for future full-time roles in the industry.
What you'll do#
- Learn the design and development process for electro-mechanical junction boxes.
- Create and maintain 3D fuse box designs, drawings, and design changes using Unigraphics NX.
- Interpret, maintain, and develop schematics and bills of materials.
- Prepare materials for testing and provide support during testing activities.
- Collaborate with the team on continuous improvement projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering curriculum.
- Junior-level status is preferred, though sophomores and seniors may be considered.
- Experience with Unigraphics NX is required.
- A minimum overall G.P.A. of 3.0.
- Strong written and verbal English language skills.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position located in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
- You must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week during school months.
- Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm ET.
- This is a paid, hourly role.
