About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join our G&A team and apply hands-on experience with AI tools to real business problems. You will work alongside People Ops, IT, Finance, and Accounting to identify manual, repetitive processes and transform them into AI-assisted or fully automated workflows. This is a practical role where you will be embedded with teams to solve problems and move active projects to completion.
What you'll do#
- Partner with G&A, People Ops, IT, and Accounting to identify and develop AI automated solutions for daily operations.
- Design, build, and pilot AI-powered workflows using tools like Claude and Gemini.
- Manage existing AI and operations projects from research and prototyping to testing and rollout.
- Document new processes and create guides or playbooks for team adoption.
- Gather requirements, test solutions, and iterate based on stakeholder feedback.
- Track the impact of your work, including time saved and errors reduced, to report to G&A leadership.
- Support ad hoc business operations tasks as priorities shift.
What you'll need#
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise using AI tools such as Claude and Gemini for research, writing, workflow design, or data tasks.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program. Juniors, Seniors, and graduate students are encouraged to apply.
- Preference for majors in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or Operations Management, though strong candidates from other fields are welcome.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
- Familiarity with Excel, Google Sheets, and automation platforms like Zapier or Power Automate is a plus.
Location & details#
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Location: On-site at our headquarters in Missoula, Montana.
- Status: Full-time internship, paid at $16-$18/hour.
- Requirements: Must be eligible to work in the United States. We cannot accommodate scholastic or employment visas. Please note that we are unable to consider applicants residing in Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Louisiana, Maine, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, or Wyoming.
How to get in at Submittable
Intern Insider's per-company playbook.
Applying early to Submittable gives you a distinct advantage before the candidate pool becomes unmanageable. Intern Insider sends an instant alert the moment a role matching your target is published anywhere, so you apply among the first and ensure your materials are seen before the pile grows. You will find that getting your name in the mix early is often the difference between a review and a rejection. Reaching out to the people actually hiring for these roles is a more effective strategy than waiting for a response from a general portal. Intern Insider surfaces the recruiters behind the company roles so you can reach out directly to ask about the position or a referral, which materially improves your response rates. It is a more direct way to show your interest than just hitting submit.
