About the role#
STV is hiring a Construction Management Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position provides an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to gain hands-on experience by working alongside our project teams. You will support the delivery of infrastructure projects across sectors such as aviation, commercial, and federal work. This is a paid, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily on-site oversight of construction activities and document project progress.
- Conduct observations of contractor work to identify potential quality issues or deviations from project plans.
- Monitor contractor compliance with specifications, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
- Review project plans and specifications to identify potential construction issues.
- Maintain daily reports, inspection records, and other project documentation.
- Coordinate with contractors to track work schedules and upcoming activities.
- Attend weekly project meetings to document updates, action items, and outstanding issues.
- Assist in determining the need for changes or additional work based on field conditions.
- Support the project team with field documentation and general construction management tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in construction, project management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and procedures.
