About the role#
STO Building Group is hiring interns to join our Operations and Estimating departments. You will work directly with superintendents, project managers, and estimators to gain hands-on experience in construction management. This is a paid, full-time position based on-site in Woodbridge, New Jersey. The term is rolling, typically lasting about three months with the possibility of an extension.
What you'll do#
- Support superintendents, project managers, and estimators with daily project tasks.
- Organize project finishes and manage office duties like ordering supplies.
- Attend project meetings and write meeting minutes.
- Update project binders and maintain accurate filing systems.
- Prepare client proposals and vendor purchase order paperwork.
- Help manage project schedules and coordinate with sub-contractors.
- Assist field project managers with day-to-day requests.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for civil engineering, construction management, building technology, or a similar field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for handling correspondence with clients and vendors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
- A professional, motivated, and detail-oriented approach to your work.
- Ability to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
