About the role#
STO Building Group offers a construction internship based in New York. You will work alongside superintendents, project managers, and estimators to gain hands-on experience in the construction management industry. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position. The internship typically lasts three months, though extensions are possible based on individual circumstances.
What you'll do#
- Assist the project team with daily tasks, including field requests and project scheduling.
- Prepare meeting minutes and attend project meetings.
- Manage project finishes, update binders, and handle filing.
- Prepare client proposals and vendor purchase order paperwork.
- Oversee general office duties such as ordering supplies and maintaining the workspace.
- Coordinate with sub-contractors as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Civil Engineering, Architecture, construction management, or building technology.
- Proficiency with computer software including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and vendors.
- Ability to manage tasks effectively and produce deliverables under pressure.
- A professional and detail-oriented approach to your work.
