About the role#
This Nursing Internship offers the chance to build ongoing relationships with employees in an occupational health setting. You will work with the same team members regularly, allowing you to track health progress and provide consistent support. This role provides experience in an industrial environment, helping you see the direct impact of your care on long-term worker safety and wellness.
What you'll do#
- Assist with employee health screenings, medical surveillance, and pre-employment evaluations.
- Support occupational health staff in providing basic care, first aid, and wellness education.
- Conduct supervised testing and maintain documentation to ensure compliance with safety and health standards.
- Help manage and track workplace injuries, worker compensation cases, and related records.
- Collaborate with medical professionals, employees, and safety teams to support overall workplace health.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a nursing program, such as an ASN or BSN.
- Basic knowledge of patient care and clinical procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow compliance protocols.
- Organized and detail-oriented approach with good documentation skills.
