About the role#
SDI BioCarbon Solutions is looking for a Marketing Intern to join our team in Columbus, Mississippi. This role provides hands-on experience in marketing, communications, branding, and community engagement within the manufacturing and sustainability industry. You will work alongside company leaders and cross-functional teams to support business objectives and develop professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the marketing team and external vendors to develop social media campaigns, email communications, and digital promotions.
- Create content for websites, newsletters, presentations, and public relations efforts.
- Conduct market research to analyze industry trends, customer insights, and competitor strategies.
- Support data collection and reporting to evaluate marketing performance.
- Research, write, and edit content for advertising and company communications.
- Assist with strategic marketing and business development initiatives.
- Support company participation in community events, trade shows, and career fairs.
- Help organize and distribute marketing and promotional materials.
- Work with internal teams to develop project updates, success stories, and employee spotlights.
- Complete special projects and additional assignments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills for gathering insights and preparing reports.
- Experience with social media platforms and content creation is preferred.
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools is a plus.
- Experience with photography, videography, or video editing is beneficial.
- An interest in sustainability, manufacturing, renewable energy, or agriculture.
- Experience with marketing analytics tools.
