About the role#
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking an intern to support enterprise technology initiatives. This position offers hands-on experience in IT project coordination, application modernization, and data reporting within a public-sector environment. You will work in a structured, team-based setting to gain experience with project leadership, governance, and operational improvements.
What you'll do#
- Assist with IT project coordination, including tracking deliverables and updating project plans, schedules, risks, and action items.
- Develop dashboards using Power BI and perform data analysis, validation, and organization.
- Support quality assurance activities for applications and tools.
- Contribute to process improvements and technical documentation.
- Participate in meetings to capture notes and follow up on assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
- Basic understanding of IT project management concepts or SDLC fundamentals.
- Interest in IT governance, application services, or technology modernization.
- Familiarity with data analysis concepts and knowledge of website development and compliance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through on assignments.
- Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

- Location: Tallahassee, Florida.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $15.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week.
