    About the role#

    This internship position with the Florida Department of Transportation in District 3 offers part-time experience in materials and research. You will assist the team with technical lab operations while gaining exposure to state transportation projects.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform materials laboratory testing and enter results into the department database.
    • Maintain, clean, and calibrate testing equipment to ensure it remains in good working order.
    • Organize the workspace to keep surfaces clean and safe for all team members.

    What you'll need#

    • You must be at least 18 years old.
    • You must be authorized to work in the United States.
    • Knowledge of engineering tools, equipment, or instruments.
    • Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written formats.
    • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.
    • Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and navigate uneven terrain without assistance.

    • This position is located in Chipley, Florida.
    • This is an on-site, part-time role with a rolling term.
    • The position is paid at $15 per hour.
