About the role#
This internship offers students the chance to gain practical experience within the Florida Department of Transportation. You will work under direct supervision across various departments to learn how the agency functions. The program focuses on professional development and provides exposure to the business side of government operations. What you'll do#
- Perform routine daily tasks across different work units.
- Engage in research and provide insights to support department initiatives.

- Assist with administrative, financial, or technical processes depending on your assigned area.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior, senior, or graduate student.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Interest in learning about the role of the Florida Department of Transportation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Majors in Business Administration, Public Health, Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, or Marketing.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized to work in the United States.

- Location: Lake City, Florida.

- Commitment: Full-time, up to 20 hours per week.
