About the role#
The Department of Transportation is hiring a part-time intern to join the District 3 Office of Information Technology in Chipley, Florida. This role supports the internal technical needs of the office and provides hands-on experience with hardware and software systems.
What you'll do#
- Provide user support for personal computers and peripheral equipment.
- Resolve support tickets by performing basic troubleshooting.
- Replace or reconfigure existing computer hardware as needed.
- Reserve, set up, and troubleshoot Audio Visual and Video Conference equipment.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.
- Knowledge of basic computer software, hardware, and firmware.
- Ability to install and provide technical support for software applications and operating systems.
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or Computer Engineering program.

- This is an on-site position based in Chipley, Florida.
- This is a part-time role at 20 hours per week.
- The internship term is rolling.
