About the role#
State Bank of Southern Utah is hiring a Risk Management Intern to join our team in Cedar City. This role offers exposure to vendor management, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, and community banking operations. You will support our department through project work and routine risk activities.
What you'll do#
- Learn the fundamentals of financial services and risk analysis.
- Gain insight into risk management through audit projects.
- Collect, organize, and track vendor due diligence documentation.
- Perform data entry, reporting, and analysis for risk management activities.
- Support departmental initiatives and projects.
What you'll need#
- You are within 12 months of earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting or are currently enrolled in an MBA or MACC program.
- Minimum 3.0 grade point average.
- Ability to work 18 to 20 hours per week.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working in a professional setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow audit procedures and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- No criminal record of any kind, as we conduct a thorough background check.
