About the role#
State Bank of Southern Utah is looking for a Credit Services Intern to join the team in Cedar City. This role supports our loan officers by handling documentation and performing financial analysis. You will work 18-20 hours per week during the winter and summer terms of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Collect, scan, and organize financial statements and tax returns to maintain accurate borrower files.
- Resolve incomplete files to ensure they meet bank compliance standards.
- Prepare SBA loan applications, reviews, and related servicing packages.
- Perform basic financial analysis by spreading financial statements.
- Use internal tools to evaluate borrower debt repayment ability and summarize strengths and weaknesses for loan officers.
- Manage and organize digital loan files.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment within 12 months of earning a Bachelor degree in a business-related field, MBA, or MAcc.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Excel and strong competency in finance coursework.
- A self-driven approach to completing tasks and seeking out new responsibilities.
- Ability to pass a background check as no criminal record is permitted.
