About the role#
As a Transportation Engineering Intern, you will join a team focused on infrastructure projects. This role provides exposure to highway, bridge, and airport development, as well as traffic planning and analysis. You will work alongside experienced practitioners on local and national projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in preparing contract documents and reports.
- Perform computer aided design and drafting.
- Check drawings and calculations.
- Complete quantity take-offs and simple structural calculations.
- Conduct field inspections.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in at least your junior year of a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in civil or structural engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, structural design software, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage your time effectively and handle multiple tasks.
