About the role#
As a Transportation Engineering Intern, you will join a team focused on infrastructure projects. This may include work on highways, bridges, traffic planning, or airport development. You will work alongside experienced practitioners to support local and national projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in preparing contract documents and reports.
- Perform computer aided design and drafting.
- Check drawings and calculations.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and simple structural calculations.
- Participate in field inspections.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in at least your junior year of a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in civil or structural engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, structural design software, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
