About the role#
Stantec is hiring a Transportation Engineering Co-op or Intern for Summer 2027. You will join our New England Transportation group based in South Burlington, Vermont. This role provides hands-on experience working with project teams on infrastructure designs that support local communities. You will collaborate with experienced practitioners while contributing to projects across Vermont and the New England region.
What you'll do#
- Assist project teams and administrative staff by preparing studies, reports, memos, spreadsheets, graphs, drawings, and calculations.
- Develop project plans, perform quantity take-offs, and assist with cost estimating.
- Participate in field visits to gather data for various transportation projects.
- Perform other tasks of a similar nature as assigned to support the team.
What you'll need#
- You must be a college student currently working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills for both office and virtual environments.
- You are punctual, reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently when needed.
- A willingness to perform field visits.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, ArcGIS, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
