About the role#
Stantec is looking for a Roadway Design Co-op Student to join our Transportation group in Raleigh for the Fall 2026 term. You will support our roadway team while working alongside structural, planning, and traffic disciplines. This role is full-time and on-site.
What you'll do#
- Gather project data and perform routine calculations.
- Prepare and assemble reports and drawings.
- Assist with design projects using OpenRoads Designer.
- Attend meetings with the design team and project stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- A valid driver license and a good driving record.
- An ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take direction.

- This position is located in Raleigh, North Carolina.
- This is a paid, full-time co-op opportunity for the Fall 2026 term.
- Work is performed on-site in an office environment, with the potential for field work involving exposure to the elements.
