About the role#
Stantec is hiring a Process/Chemical Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Nashville, Tennessee. You will work with our Industrial Water practice to support project delivery and technical documentation.
What you'll do#
- Assist the project delivery team with research, administration, and report preparation.
- Develop spreadsheet calculations, including mass balances.
- Create process engineering documents such as flow diagrams, P&IDs, engineering lists, process data sheets, and performance specifications.
- Perform bench scale treatability tests on-site or at our Alpharetta lab.
- Conduct site inspections, construction observations, and support start-up and commissioning activities.
- Assist with environmental monitoring, reporting, and project permit applications.
- Attend project meetings and record meeting minutes.
- Write summaries of your work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET accredited bachelor’s or master’s Chemical Engineering program.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or process modeling software is a plus.
