About the role#
Our Global Mining team needs an Engineering Intern to join our infrastructure engineering team in Denver, Colorado. You will support clients by working on feasibility studies and detailed engineering projects for surface and underground mining operations.
What you'll do#
- Commit to our safety culture and work toward a goal of zero harm.
- Follow all health and safety rules and regulations for Stantec and our clients.
- Learn applicable safety codes and guidelines.
- Help prepare technical documents, mine designs, mine plans, and financial models.
- Contribute to the design and costing of the mining cycle.
- Collaborate with a multi-discipline engineering and design team.
- Attend project meetings and handle various office tasks to keep projects on schedule.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or a related field.
- You have a strong interest in gaining mining-specific experience.
- You are a self-starter who works well in a team setting.
- Experience with mine design or planning software like Vulcan, Minesite, MinePlan, Carlson, or Deswik is an asset.

- This is an on-site internship based in Denver, Colorado.
- The term is Summer 2027.
- This is a full-time, paid position.
