About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will join our Nashville office for the summer of 2027. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers on tasks and smaller projects. This role involves a mix of design work, calculations, and field evaluations. It is a full-time position intended for students looking to gain industry experience.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the mechanical design of process piping, pumps, and equipment layouts.
- Perform engineering calculations.
- Develop mechanical specifications and data sheets.
- Create BIM drawings using Revit or Plant 3D.
- Assist with field work to evaluate existing sites, accompanied by a senior engineer.
- Support general engineering duties on projects of varying complexity.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program for Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in drafting and a basic understanding of Revit or similar software.
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong motivation to learn and the ability to accept feedback from senior staff.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
