About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship position for the Winter 2027 term. We are looking for an engineering student to join our Power Delivery team in Vancouver. You will gain hands-on experience by working with our practitioners on various projects across electrical, civil, structural, and environmental engineering domains. We prefer candidates who can commit to a term between 8 and 18 months. Please specify your preferred term length in your application.
What you'll do#
- Assist the power distribution design team with daily tasks, including the coordination of drawings and details.
- Participate in design calculations and plans while ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and regulations.
- Help the project management team develop dashboards and Power BI reports.
- Track project milestones and actions.
- Assist with documentation control and other general project duties.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Engineering program, specifically in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong interest in developing new professional skills.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Project, Word, Excel, and Power BI is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
- Modality: This is an on-site position. Work occurs in a typical office environment with some sedentary tasks, though field work may involve exposure to various weather conditions.
