About the role#
We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer Intern for our New York City office for the Summer 2027 term. You will work with senior commissioning leaders on project delivery. This role offers hands-on experience in commissioning, retro-commissioning, solutions design, and energy consulting for a variety of clients and facilities.
What you'll do#
- Support senior leaders with project delivery.
- Assist with multiple commissioning and retro-commissioning projects.
- Contribute to solutions design and energy audits for diverse facility types.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with graduation expected in 12-16 months.
- Registered EIT or in the process of obtaining your EIT.
- 0-2 years of experience in technical consulting, such as facility design, engineering, or construction management.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, building equipment, and energy sustainability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, and AutoCAD.
- Experience with Trane Trace, eQuest, or IES is preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to drive and travel regionally.
- Availability to work after normal business hours and on weekends when required.
