About the role#
This internship provides exposure to water infrastructure projects including dams, levees, pump stations, treatment facilities, and stormwater infrastructure. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to support local and national projects for clients such as municipalities, state agencies, and power utilities. This is a full-time position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project administration, including writing reports, drafting proposals, tracking project costs, and managing correspondence.
- Support technical staff by researching, compiling, and evaluating project data and performing design calculations.
- Complete modeling and design activities for water infrastructure.
- Gain experience with CAD, GIS, and other design software.
- Perform construction observations and assist with field work as needed.
- Handle other engineering and administrative tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently working toward at least a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and follow direction.
- A willingness to learn.

- Location: Nashville, Tennessee.
- Work Modality: This is an on-site role. You will work in an office environment with some potential for field work involving exposure to the elements.
