About the role#
Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Community Development team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside experienced engineers on various projects, gaining hands-on experience in the field and the office. We aim to provide interns with practical skills and professional networking opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Attend meetings with the design team and clients.
- Assist with drafting and design tasks using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Complete markups in BlueBeam Revu.
- Perform calculations in Microsoft Excel and stormwater design software.
- Write technical reports in Microsoft Word.
- Visit active job sites to perform construction observations.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, ideally in your third year of study or higher.
- Basic skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to prioritize tasks, take direction, and listen to feedback.
