About the role#
We are looking for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our New York City infrastructure team for the Summer of 2027. You will work on a variety of projects, including roadways, parks, transit facilities, and waterfront developments. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring a 40-hour weekly commitment.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in preparing contract documents and reports.
- Perform computer-aided design and drafting tasks.
- Review drawings and verify calculations.
- Complete quantity take-offs and simple design calculations.
- Conduct field inspections, which may involve exposure to various weather conditions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program for Civil Engineering.
- Good academic standing at an accredited engineering school.
- Prior exposure to CAD design software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Experience with Civil 3D, Bentley Inroads, or Openroads Designer is preferred.
