About the role#
Stantec is hiring a Civil Engineering Co-op Student for a 16-month term starting in May 2027. You will join our Infrastructure Team in Saskatoon. This is a full-time, on-site, paid position. You will work alongside experienced practitioners on transportation and infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist with transportation planning, highway geometric design, and traffic engineering studies.
- Prepare CAD drawings and assist with revisions.
- Help with contract document preparation and quantity calculations.
- Provide survey support for preliminary design, construction, and hydraulic surveys.
- Assist with site, bridge, and culvert inspections.
- Prepare technical and status reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master program for civil engineering.
- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Valid class 5 driver license.
- Experience with CAD software or heavy construction settings is an asset.
