About the role#
We are looking for a Student Intern to join our Federal Civil Design Department. You will work alongside senior engineers on a range of civil engineering tasks. This is a paid, full-time internship position available on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Study and design infrastructure projects such as aircraft aprons, taxiways, runways, building sites, parking lots, and substations.
- Collaborate with senior designers and project teams to solve engineering problems.
- Produce high quality design documents.
- Prepare and check design computations and quantity estimates.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Civil Engineering.
- Standing as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD software is preferred.
- Previous experience with engineering design and analysis software is a plus.

This is an on-site role. We are hiring for our offices in Des Moines, IA; Minneapolis, MN; Muscatine, IA; and Phoenix, AZ.
