About the role#
We are looking for a student intern to join our water resources team in Minneapolis. This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering design and technical analysis. You will work on various infrastructure and environmental projects while building your skills toward future technical or managerial responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Develop an understanding of technical analysis, design, and the preparation of construction documents, reports, and cost estimates.
- Focus on water resources analysis and design tasks.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
- Create maps using ArcGIS.
- Work on grading and drainage projects.
- Conduct culvert and pipe network analysis and design.
- Perform some field work as required.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a BSCE degree program at an ABET accredited university.
- Current standing as a sophomore, junior, or senior.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.
