About the role#
StageRight Corporation is hiring a Manufacturing Intern to join our production team in Clare, Michigan. This is a part-time, on-site role with a rolling start date. You will work directly with our fabrication team to support production goals while gaining hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks using MIG, TIG, and arc welding under supervision.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to assemble components.
- Inspect welded joints to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area by following all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Hands-on experience with welding equipment from an industrial or educational setting.
- Familiarity with AWS welding standards.
- Knowledge of metallurgy and material properties.
- Experience with quality control and inspection techniques.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret English documents.
- Ability to stand for long periods, reach, crouch, kneel, and lift 50 pounds without assistance.
