About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Clare, Michigan. You will gain hands-on experience in supply chain and purchasing operations while working directly with our production and engineering teams.
What you'll do#
- Procure components to meet production demand while learning the Epicor inventory management system.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to source materials for custom job requirements.
- Partner with Shipping and Receiving to process purchase orders and resolve shipment discrepancies.
- Evaluate safety stock levels and ordering parameters to determine the best procurement options.
- Build and manage supplier relationships to improve operational efficiency.
- Expedite production parts to meet immediate needs and coordinate pricing schedules with suppliers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ERP software tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a self-starting work ethic.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Capability to read, analyze, and interpret the English language.
- Previous student involvement or work experience is a plus.
