Radiology Student Intern Per Diem

About the role#

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Radiology Student Intern to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures under the supervision of a registered technologist. This per diem role focuses on clinical support, equipment maintenance, and patient care while adhering to radiation protection principles.

What you'll do#

• Perform diagnostic radiographic services while evaluating technical image quality.
• Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available in your assigned area.
• Demonstrate competency in RIS/HIS modules and maintain accurate medical record information.
• Manage digital images and ensure they are correctly sent to PACS.
• Provide educational information to patients regarding their examinations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all safety, attendance, and dress code policies.
• Assist in moving and positioning patients, requiring the ability to lift up to 300 pounds with assistance and handle objects up to 30 pounds.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an ARRT-recognized radiography program.
• Status as a current clinical student with completed competencies in chest, abdomen, and extremity categories.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
