Graduate Nurse and Registered Nurse NICU Internship- Full Time Nights- Fall 2026 Cohort

About the role#

St. Luke's University Health Network is offering a full-time, night-shift NICU Internship for the Fall 2026 cohort. This program is designed to support the transition from novice to advanced beginner through a competency-based curriculum. Interns will participate in a progressive arrangement of seminars, workshops, supervised hands-on training, simulation, and clinical observations. Upon successful completion of the internship, participants will join a NICU unit to provide care for high-risk neonates and infants.

What you'll do#

• Provide nursing care for high-risk neonates and infants, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
• Document the effects of care and coordinate with the broader patient-care team.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient and network materials.
• Model service excellence standards in all interactions with patients, families, and staff.
• Comply with all network and departmental policies regarding attendance and professional standards.

What you'll need#

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to successfully complete the Neonatal Resuscitation Program within one year of hire.
• Eligibility for the program includes experienced RNs new to the NICU setting, or nursing students graduating in the Spring, Summer, or Winter who will obtain licensure prior to the internship start date.
• Nursing students must have prior experience in a NICU setting or a scheduled senior practicum in the NICU.
• Physical ability to perform required tasks, including lifting and transporting patients, and standing for extended periods.
