About the role#
St. Luke's University Health Network is offering a full-time, night-shift NICU Internship for the Fall 2026 cohort. This competency-based program is designed to support the transition from novice to advanced beginner through a combination of seminars, workshops, supervised hands-on training, simulation, and clinical observations. Interns will work with a dedicated education team and receive a clinical preceptorship to cultivate leadership and team-building skills.
What you'll do#
- Provide nursing care for high-risk neonates and infants by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans.
- Collaborate with ancillary staff, nursing colleagues, and other team members to maintain professional practice standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient and network materials.
- Demonstrate the Network’s Service Excellence Standards of Performance in all interactions.
- Comply with all departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.
- Demonstrate competency in assessing and treating patients based on their specific growth and development needs.
What you'll need#
- Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to complete the Neonatal Resuscitation Program within one year.
- Eligibility to sit for the NCLEX and obtain licensure before the start of the internship for nursing students.
- Previous experience working in a NICU or a scheduled Senior Practicum in a NICU for nursing students.
- Experienced RNs who have not previously worked in a NICU setting are also eligible to apply.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, full-time position.
- Openings are available at various campus locations including Allentown, Easton (Anderson Campus), Sellersville (Grand View Campus), and Quakertown (Upper Bucks Campus).
- The internship is a paid opportunity.
