About the role#
The Student Nurse (SNAP) position on the Med Surg unit provides an opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience. You will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support patient care and unit operations.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct and indirect patient care activities.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Provide for personal care and comfort.
- Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients.
- Engage in effective verbal and written communication.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma or GED.
- Currently enrolled in good standing at an accredited nursing program.
- Successful completion of the first clinical rotation in an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum 2.75 GPA.
- Must not be listed on the Kentucky or Indiana Abuse Registry.
- Basic math and computer skills.
