About the role#
The Student Nurse Achievement Program (SNAP I & II) offers nursing students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by supporting various specialty areas within the health system. This role involves working under the direction of registered nurses or licensed practical nurses to support patient care initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct and indirect patient care activities under the supervision of an RN or LPN.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Provide for the personal care and comfort of patients.
- Help maintain a safe and clean environment for an assigned group of patients.
What you'll need#
- High School diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in good standing at an accredited nursing program.
- Successful completion of at least one clinical rotation in an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum 2.75 GPA.
- Must not be listed on the Kentucky or Indiana Abuse Registry.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
