Radiology Technologist Student

About the role#

SSM Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist Student to join the team at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting while working under the direct supervision of experienced technologists and physicians.

What you'll do#

• Provide X-Ray services to patients within the established student scope of practice.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
• Select exposure factors and technical parameters under direct supervision.
• Administer contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Assist supervising staff with a variety of imaging procedures.
• Adhere to all radiation protection and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms and storage areas.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an accredited radiology school.
• Valid Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including constant standing and walking, frequent lifting of patients, and occasional lifting of objects up to 50 lbs.
• No prior experience is required.
