Radiology Student Intern

About the role#

The Radiology Student Intern role at SSM Health Dean Medical Group provides an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting. This position is designed to support academic progress, with hours scheduled around your school commitments. This is a paid, PRN position.

What you'll do#

• Provide X-Ray services to patients within the student scope of practice.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures under direct supervision.
• Select exposure factors and anatomic parameters accurately.
• Assist supervising technologists and physicians with various imaging procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within established regulations.
• Maintain radiation protection and safety standards.
• Assist in keeping procedure rooms, storage areas, and department spaces clean and orderly.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an accredited radiology school or program.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including constant standing and walking, and frequent patient lifting or moving.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• No prior work experience is required.
