The Center for Health Sciences at SRI is seeking a part-time intern to support an NIH-sponsored study. This research investigates cognitive and motor functional decline in older adults, specifically focusing on individuals living with HIV and Parkinson’s disease. The project utilizes brain imaging to identify neuroimaging biomarkers and examines factors such as sleep and physical activity. You will work on-site at the Menlo Park office.
What you'll do#
- Receive training in conducting interviews and neuro-psychological testing.
- Assist in the acquisition of multi-modal MRI scans.
- Support the handling and analysis of cognitive and motor test data.
- Interact professionally with study participants.
- Collaborate effectively within the research team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program in psychology, nursing, public health, biomedical sciences, health administration, kinesiology, or a related field.
- Interest in the cognitive and behavioral aspects of aging, HIV, and Parkinson’s disease.
- An energetic personality with an interest in working with adults aged 50 to 80.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Previous experience with elderly populations or human subjects research is an advantage.

- Schedule: Part-time with flexible hours.
- Compensation: $17.55–$23.00 per hour.
