About the role#
As a Product Engineering Intern, you will work on real-world projects that support innovation and continuous improvement. This role provides hands-on experience in R&D, product development, and engineering support for electric heating solutions. You will contribute to projects involving design, testing, and process improvement to help enhance product performance.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing engineering drawings, schematics, and documentation.
- Support prototype builds, modifications, and testing activities.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in lab or field testing of components and products.
- Operate test equipment and record accurate data for analysis.
- Document test results and provide input on product performance and improvements.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance product design, manufacturability, or efficiency.
- Assist with engineering change documentation and project tracking.
- Support sourcing, materials evaluation, and supplier collaboration efforts.
- Work with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and commercial teams to address engineering challenges.
- Assist in preparing technical reports, presentations, or updates for leadership.
- Learn to navigate project lifecycles from concept through testing and production.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail.
- A problem-solving mindset and a willingness to learn new tools and concepts.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate in a team setting.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with business systems like ERP, CRM, or CPQ and analytics tools like Excel or Power BI is a plus.
