About the role#
SPX Technologies is hiring a Product Engineering Intern to work on-site in Michigan City, Indiana. This is a paid, full-time rolling internship for students pursuing a degree in engineering. You will gain hands-on experience by working with associates on various projects and learning from experts in the field.
What you'll do#
- Assist associates with project coordination from inception through completion.
- Provide data and information to help the team make accurate decisions.
- Participate in department meetings and support staff on assigned tasks.
- Evaluate existing processes to identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
- Collaborate with team members to create standard work instructions and process documents.
- Develop professional communication skills through practice and feedback.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Technical knowledge in your field of study and proficiency with relevant technology.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Initiative, a self-directed work style, and a willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Location: Michigan City, Indiana.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- This role requires the ability to stand, walk, and sit, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. You may be required to use foot, eye, and ear protection when working in production areas.
