About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Product Engineering Internship based in Michigan City, Indiana. You will work on-site to gain hands-on experience while collaborating with team members across departments. This position is open to students currently working toward a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field.
What you'll do#
- Assist associates with ongoing projects from inception through completion.
- Provide data and information to support project decision-making.
- Participate in department meetings and support staff with assigned tasks.
- Evaluate existing processes to identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
- Develop and implement standard work instructions and process documents.
- Refine your verbal and written communication skills through professional messaging and stakeholder interaction.
What you'll need#
- Technical knowledge in an engineering field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- A detail-oriented approach with the initiative to work in a self-directed manner.
- Proficiency in field-specific technology.
Location & details#
- Location: Michigan City, Indiana.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Environment: You will work in office and plant settings, which may require standing, walking, and sitting. You must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and use required safety equipment in production areas.
