About the role#
Join our Engineering team as an intern or co-op to gain hands-on experience in research, testing, and design projects. You will support product innovation and improvement by applying classroom learning to real-world engineering challenges in a manufacturing environment. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering test preparation and execution, including setup, measurement, and data collection.
- Assist in product and component testing, such as structural integrity, fluid mechanics, hydraulics, thermal performance, vibration, sound levels, and materials evaluation.
- Contribute to product improvement initiatives, including design layouts, technical feasibility studies, and cost analyses.
- Create and update engineering drawings, models, and templates.
- Participate in project research and gather data.
- Support engineers in evaluating new technologies and design concepts.
- Collaborate on design documentation, technical support, and reporting.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, or Materials Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
- Cumulative college GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with test equipment, hand and power tools, and shop equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of fundamental structural engineering concepts and practices is preferred.
