About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience working directly with engineering teams on product development and manufacturing projects. You will contribute to real-world tasks, learn from industry experts, and collaborate across departments to drive results. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Assist with new product development, process improvement, and testing.
- Coordinate projects from inception through completion.
- Perform first article inspections, algorithm development, BOM comparisons, and reviews of drawings and parts.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and help develop standard work instructions.
- Provide data to support accurate decision-making.
- Participate in department meetings and support staff on assigned tasks.
- Refine your professional communication skills through daily interactions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as at least a junior in a bachelor’s program for Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- A GPA of 3.0/4.0 or better.
- Strong interest in mechanical engineering related to product, manufacturing, or sustaining engineering.
- Technical knowledge in your field and proficiency with relevant technology.
- Ability to work in lab or manufacturing environments.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A self-directed approach, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
