About the role#
The Continuous Improvement Intern will work on the plant floor to enhance manufacturing processes using Lean methodologies. You will analyze current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements to boost productivity. This role offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and exposure to cross-functional collaboration.
What you'll do#
- Conduct time studies for assembly lines and other manufacturing processes.
- Develop standardized work procedures for assembly lines.
- Identify waste within manufacturing processes and contribute to problem-solving.
- Participate in structured Kaizen events.
- Learn and apply Lean tools and concepts.
- Build communication skills by engaging with team members across the organization.
- Develop leadership abilities by managing projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Oversee projects from initiation to completion.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Engineering degree, with a preference for process or industrial engineering.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management and multitasking.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
- Experience with Project Management, Lean Manufacturing, and Process Management is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Cuba, Missouri.
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
- You will spend 70% of your time on the plant floor, with the remainder spent on computer-based work.
- No travel is required for this role.
